Pipeline Robotic Cutters

The IMS MICRO-Cutter is a device for using in pipes with a nominal diameter of DN 80 (inside diameter) to 150 mm (optional to 250mm). The integrated axial movement (ca. 100mm) provides a flexible working range. Due to this movement the cutter is able to climb, creep and to move through difficult bends.
The small outer diameter of only 70 mm and the short rigid lengths of the components allow an excellent movement through bends. The cutter is able to move through 67° bends from DN 100 and in DN 150 through 90°. The IMS MICRO-Cutter allows the opening of relined connections/laterals in ground and house connection pipes. Preparatory work such as the removing of roots and similar operations can also be carried out. The device can also be used for gas, potable water and ground pipes. Due to the integrated camera with permanent air and switchable water cleaning, the operator is able to observe the whole cutting process.
The cutter is also equipped with two infinitely variable halogen headlights. The device is completely protected against penetrating water and filled with nitrogen. The cutter is available with an internal controlling unit or usable with the universal controlling unit.
